Liverpool are monitoring teenage Southampton winger Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The Reds' director of football strategy Damien Comolli was in the stands at St Mary's this afternoon to watch the son of former England international Mark Chamberlain find the net in a 4-1 win over Huddersfield in npower League One.
But Saints boss Nigel Adkins insists he will not welcome any bids for the highly-rated 17-year-old when the January transfer window opens.
"I didn't know he (Comolli) was here," said Adkins.
"But we will not start talking about all our players having a price, or putting a price on players' heads, we want to keep this squad together.
"We are not looking to let Alex go."

Liverpool are keeping tabs on Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain's situation at Arsenal, a source has told ESPN FC.
Arsenal are planning to begin talks over a new contract with Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is entering the final two years of his current deal, and are determined to keep him, according to a source close to the player's camp. However, should he fail to agree an extension, Liverpool could make a move for the England international, who has also been linked with Manchester City in recent days.
Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is expected to make changes to his squad in the summer and the source said he has made a new winger a top priority, with Oxlade-Chamberlain among the names on his list of targets.

The England man has been in and out of the Gunners side this term and has previously admitted that he would prefer to be a regular starter for the Gunners.
Reds boss Jurgen Klopp is an admirer of Oxlade-Chamberlain and is in the market for squad depth when the window reopens to bolster their title bid.
It is understood, however, that Klopp will not firm up any interest next month.

Despite interest from Liverpool, talks between Oxlade-Chamberlain and Arsenal have progressed positively since the end of the season and there is optimism that agreement can be reached on a contract extension worth just over £100,000-a-week.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has had his best season since joining Arsenal in 2011 and, having played regularly in both central midfield and at wing-back in the second half of the season, it was significant that Wenger also had the faith to start him in the FA Cup final following injury.
